Active Shooter Preparedness Virtual Training Session
Preparing employees for a potential active shooter incident is an integral component of an organization’s incident response planning. Because active shooter incidents are unpredictable and evolve quickly, preparing for and knowing what to do in an active shooter situation can be the difference between life and death. Every second counts.
Unique Training Opportunity
The Preble County Chamber of Commerce and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a component within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, are hosting this one-hour virtual training session that is designed to enhance awareness and preparedness for active shooter incidents. The session will include information on:
Characteristics of Active Shooter incidents
Workplace Violence - learning how to mitigate active shooter incidents by recognizing behavioral indicators on the pathway to violence
How to respond to an Active Shooter incident (using the "Run, Hide, Fight" model)
U.S. Department of Homeland Security resources available to support your Active Shooter preparedness efforts
The consequences from an Active Shooter incident can be fatal. Protect yourself by creating an emergency action plan by incorporating three basic response options: “Run, Hide, Fight”
Did You Know? Active Shooter situations are often over within three minutes, before first responders can arrive on the scene.

Audio will be exclusively through a telephonic bridge that will also be provided after registration.
