Want to improve your bottom line?
More than one-third of our members achieved a return of more than seventeen times their investment!
Twenty-seven members of the Preble County Safety Council accounted for $75,594.00 in rebate checks from the Bureau of Workers Compensation in 2007! They achieved this by joining the Safety Council.
The goal of the Safety Council is to reduce occupational injuries and illness, and is a partnership with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. Safety Council members must attend 10 out of 12 educational meetings designed to promote workplace safety. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month from Noon to 1 p.m. at the YMCA.
Annual Membership Dues for the Safety Council are $100 to cover your lunch during the meetings. A variety of topics are covered that are relevant to most businesses.
21 out of 27 members achieved a return of more than five times their investment…
In an effort to reduce the number of workplace accidents and to share resources and information on accident prevention, risk management and workers’ compensation in Ohio, the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Division of Safety & Hygiene and the Preble County Chamber of Commerce co-sponsor this safety council program.
As you know, the BWC has undergone many changes as it attempts to become solvent. The attached letter breaks down the responsibilities of employers, Third Party Administrators, the BWC, and certified primary and affiliated sponsoring organizations (such as the Preble County Chamber). Please download the letter from the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation regarding Groups Safety Accountability and stay tuned for upcoming safety training programs.
